Adrián AnacletoCEO at Epidata, participated as one of the panelists of Outsource2LAC 2015 which was held on November 11th to 13th in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.

Over the years, Outsource2LAC has become the main forum for Outsourcing and Offshoring of Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), which offers participants the opportunity to learn about the latest trends in the global services industry and expand their business around the world. This year the forum was attended by more than 1000 companies from the services sector from LAC, Asia, Europe and North America, as well as trading and investment promotion agencies from more than 20 countries in LAC.

Adrian Anacleto gave a presentation within the framework of the Plenary Session III: “Software in the age of disruption” which aimed on dealing with future prospects of the IT market: IoT, Big Data, Software Architecture and the role of Latin America as an innovative agent, among other topics.

During the meeting, Adrian explained Epidata’s experience with Latin American talent management: “In Latin America we have the gene for innovation and disruption: changes do not scare us”. He predicted that “the next Unicorn will have Latin American genes” and made a detailed forecast on the IT market perspective:

“The future of the Internet of things (IoT), the generation and consumption of large volumes of information (Big Data), Data Science, will produce a huge demand for innovation, with the consequent need of having companies devoted to R+D and validation of architectures and high-level designs for outsourcing processes, which allows for the guaranteeing success of projects.

That is, we are saying that part of the development of R+D+i will be offshore and validations of quality design, compliance with design and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will also be outsourced and the right place to do that will be Latin America, due to its high level of Human Capital, but also because of a large cultural alignment with the United States. This will allow Latin American companies to act as a catalyst for innovation and/or also as responsible for the adequacy to high level designs (architecture) and the compliance with the requirements of quality attributes of an application (performance, availability, etc), facing a value chain of outsourcing also made up of companies from China, India and Eastern Europe”.
