We are pleased to congratulate Dr. Rodrigo Castro, founder of R & D of Epidata, who won the “Best Conference Paper Award” in Athens, Greece during the International Multidisciplinary Modeling & Simulation Multiconference (I3M) – Workshop on Simulation for Energy, Environment & Sustainable Development (SESDE 2013).

Castro is a Researcher Assistant at CONICET and a Coordinator of the Discrete Event Simulation group in the Computing Department.

His work entitled “An Energy-based Modeling Framework for Complex Dynamic Systems with a Focus on Sustainability and Embodied Energy Flows” (pdf) is the result of a collaborative project with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology ETH Zurich.

The paper presents a general methodology for modeling complex dynamic systems focusing on emerging sustainability properties from tracking energy flows.

From Epidata, we would like to express the pride that this achievement represent to us, product of a great effort and work, as well as we congratulate Rodrigo for their results.
