Epidata will be present at the Rally Dakar 2011, the legendary world event that will be held for the third consecutive time in the South American continent.
The company will accompany Ariel “Guara” Guarino, member of Cordoba’s Dakar Team, who will cover roads and lands of Argentina and Chile, from January 1st to 16th, 2011.
Guarino will be participating for the second time in the Rally Dakar’s Adventure modality, aboard a Honda XR 600R with the number 612. Together with them will be travelling: Julio Estanguet, who will compete representing Cordoba’s Dakar Team for the ATV category and Rodolfo Bollero, from Tucuman’s Peralta Racing Team , the best argentinian in 2010th motorcycle classification.

There are two ways of participation at the Rally Dakar: competitive and adventure. Rally Dakar Adventure modality is open, with similar physical demands and the same enemies the Competitive modality offers, such as climate and terrain.
Rally’s emblematic landmarks will be toured, like Fiambalá dunes, Atacama desert and Iquique. From its conception, the Dakar is associated to regional initiatives to keep a good link with the cities and towns who receive it. That is why in this opportunity five provinces will be included to the travel.
