Epidata and the Software Engineering Specialization Career (CEIS) from UCA, invite you to participate on a discussion titled “Performance Risks’ modeling and early identification”, which will be held next Tuesday 5th, from 18.30 to 20.30hs, at Universidad Catolica Argentina’s Campus in Puerto Madero.
During the event different concepts and tools will be presented to early calculate potential risks of an application which doesn’t fulfill with its performance quality requirements, and to track the evolution of such risks during the life cycle of a software architecture. The activity will be carried on by Dr. Rodrigo Castro, Head of Epidata Consulting’s Research, Development and Innovation.
The model-based methodology which will be discussed includes the definition of a UML Profile to annotate early estimations – perhaps fussy- of the expected load on the system, the probability of not fulfilling with performance requirements and the level of negative impact that would occur in the event of a performance incident.
It’s been proven that, for nontrivial sized architectures, weighted risk information produced by this methodology constitutes a powerful tool for decision making and quality management of projects.
The tool to be presented was developed as part of Ricardo Perez’s thesis of Specialization in Software Engineering from the Universidad Catolica Argentina (UCA), directed by Epidata Consulting’s Research, Development and Innovation area under an agreement of academy-industry collaboration.
Thesis Title: Early identification of Performance depending risks scoring models through a UML Profile
