The company exceeded 30 million dollars in revenue, increased its team by over 700 employees, and maintained an annual growth rate of over 24% for the last four years.

Buenos Aires, January 20, 2025 – Epidata, a leading company in innovation outsourcing and software development with a presence in Latin America and the USA, celebrates another year of excellent results, achieving sustained growth in key markets where it operates, solidifying its position as a reference in the region’s technology industry. During this year, the company exceeded 30 million dollars in revenue and maintained an annual growth rate of over 24% (similar to the last four years), reaffirming its vision and business model by offering constant innovation to its clients.

Among the key milestones of the year, Epidata acquired and integrated Liveware (www.liveware.com.ar), a company with more than 40 years of experience in technological solutions and software engineering, highly regarded in the Argentine market. This acquisition not only expanded its service portfolio but also made Epidata a Silver Partner of Atlassian, adding a new strategic partner and strengthening its offering of business collaboration tools.

Regarding acquisitions, it also achieved that Gestión IT (www.gestionit.com.ar), acquired at the end of 2023, specializing in testing and software quality services, grew by over 35% in its first year of integration with Epidata, quickly expanding its services in Latin America and within the current client base, adding Tricentis as a partner.

In line with its business model and the importance of partnerships with international partners, the company achieved Gold Partner status in Datadog, entering this category to consolidate its regional leadership in ITOM services. It also fostered synergies with MuleSoft and Salesforce, securing new clients and projects with significant commitments for 2025. This includes sustained growth with GitLab, SonarQube, UiPath, Atlassian, among others, which are part of its offering for Latin America.

“This year, we achieved excellent results, growing again by over 24%, positioning ourselves among the top 10 Latin American software companies, especially considering the strong stagnation in the IT market in general. This success is thanks to our outsourcing innovation service proposal, supported by acquisitions and partnerships with strategic partners,” said Adrián Anacleto, CEO and Founder of Epidata.

In a calendar filled with events, marked by several in-person gatherings across seven countries with partners, the “DevSecOps Day” stood out, with participation from leaders at Datadog, GitLab, Appdome, and the attendance of important clients. This event marked a milestone in the industry, emphasizing Epidata’s leadership in integrating security into development processes.

Another key milestone, held annually, is the launch of training programs such as the Java/React Academy, aimed at training talent and providing job opportunities. This program exceeded expectations, with over 2,000 young professionals enrolling, reflecting the company’s commitment to professional development.

Recognized for its actions and culture, which led to the increase of its team by over 700 employees, the company was again acknowledged as one of the best companies to work for in the 2024 Ranking of Best Employers by Revista Apertura, solidifying its reputation as a great place for professional growth.

Looking ahead to 2025, Adrián Anacleto commented, “Our goals for next year are to definitively consolidate ourselves as a regional leader, growing under the same business model, projecting a revenue increase of over 30%, and aiming to surpass 1,000 employees by the end of next year.”

Regarding its acquisition and expansion plans into new countries, the company expects to announce at least two new regional acquisitions and increase its presence across Latin America in countries that can leverage partnership agreements and support its current regional clients.

With its purpose of growth as a standard, Epidata continues its journey of consolidation and positioning in Latin America.

Based on its outsourcing innovation proposal, world-class strategic alliances, and acquisitions; Epidata continues to yield positive results even in a globally negative context for companies in the sector.

Buenos Aires, April 2024 – Epidata, a leading company in innovation outsourcing and software development, with a presence in Latin America, Spain, and the USA, celebrates another successful year confirming its steady growth in the region. It achieved an increase in its billing to 28 million dollars during 2023, expanded its team of professionals to over 650 collaborators (‘epidaters’), and recorded a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 31% over the past three years; reaffirming its leadership and commitment to excellence.

Epidata’s growth strategy is based on a vision that integrates the proximity and management of its most important clients, which allows it to grow with them, strategic alliances with visionary vendors, and organic expansion with acquisitions. This strategy is under the premise of maintaining its ability to innovate and quickly adapt to the changing needs of the market while maintaining a corporate culture focused on diversity, the value of being good people, and professional excellence.

Firmly moving towards the consolidation of its regional presence, Epidata made a strategic acquisition in December 2023 of Gestión IT, a leading company in Testing and Quality software services with ISTQB® (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) certification in Argentina. This move expands its service offerings, strengthens its operational capacity, and its competitive position in the market.

In line with this strategy, regarding its alliances, Epidata has added Salesforce to its grid of international partners, to be a Cloud Reseller for Argentina and Uruguay. Being number one in integration services for Latin America with Mulesoft (a company acquired by Salesforce) and the great possible synergies, gave Epidata enough credentials to quickly position itself as a strategic partner in the region.

Organically, the company has expanded its portfolio of clients and projects in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and the United States, in addition to having new experiences with clients from Spain.

Looking to the future, Epidata projects a base growth of 40% in its billing for 2024, exceeding 850 collaborators with the goal of being among the top 10 most important software companies with Latin capital by the end of 2025.

Thus, Epidata is projected to be a regional leader and a key player in the global technological landscape.

On the 40th anniversary of Revista Apertura, Adrián Anacleto was invited for a special interview /en/on-the-40th-anniversary-of-revista-apertura-adrian-anacleto-was-invited-for-a-special-interview/ Mon, 10 Jul 2023 11:00:05 +0000 /es/?p=16656 The post On the 40th anniversary of Revista Apertura, Adrián Anacleto was invited for a special interview appeared first on Epidata.

]]>

Our CEO, Adrián Anacleto, was interviewed by Revista Apertura, one of Argentina’s leading business publications, part of the Grupo El Cronista for all of Latin America, on the occasion of its 40th anniversary since its regular release into the market.

In this special edition, which brings together the country’s top business leaders, Adrián Anacleto talked about his life story, the origins of Epidata, and his vision for the future of the business, during a special time for our company due to its consolidation in Latin America after starting operations in Brazil.

In the interview conducted by Eugenia Iglesia, Anacleto highlighted that, despite the difficulties, he “was lucky” to come across key individuals along his journey who propelled him towards success. By studying Computer Science at the University of Buenos Aires, he became the first in his family to obtain a university degree.

Later, he co-founded Epidata in 2003 with two partners, initially focusing on software architecture development. Subsequently, our company began to consolidate by offering innovation outsourcing services in sectors such as telecommunications, banking, technology, retail, and healthcare. For example, with innovative projects ranging from designing the home banking system for the Link network to supporting the vaccination process in the City of Buenos Aires during the pandemic.

In the interview, Anacleto reflected on his experience as an entrepreneur, which led to having a company with over 500 employees, and his perspective on meritocracy. While recognizing the importance of individuals attaining positions based on merit, he also emphasized the need to “provide sincere opportunities for everyone,” beyond quotas or policies of positive discrimination.

“The knowledge industry is the most inclusive industry you can have. It allows young people to escape poverty: with a young person who gets their first job in systems, you can lift an entire family out of poverty. That’s an incredible force, and this industry has it.”

However, he also acknowledged the barriers and challenges in the software industry. He mentioned facing discrimination throughout his career and emphasized the importance of working towards inclusion and diversity within companies. Additionally, he revealed that Argentina has the potential to become an industrialized country through the software industry, but it requires appropriate policies and a strategic approach from the government to foster its growth.

Despite this situation, Anacleto underscored that Epidata has a strong regional presence but also exports services. He also revealed that the goal is to “transcend” by doing things that the company enjoys and that can transform people’s lives.

“I believe there is room for another large company in Latin America, and Epidata can be one of them. And today, clients see that as a great value.”

Microsoft 365 Copilot: a tool to automate work processes /en/microsoft-365-copilot-a-tool-to-automate-work-processes-2/ Fri, 19 May 2023 18:04:43 +0000 /es/?p=16446 The post Microsoft 365 Copilot: a tool to automate work processes appeared first on Epidata.

]]>

At Epidata, we continue to embrace innovation. One of the major transformations currently impacting the industry is artificial intelligence, through tools like ChatGPT. But that’s not the only one! For example, our partner Microsoft has recently introduced Microsoft 365 Copilot.

This solution is presented as a “copilot for work” due to its useful features for users and businesses, promising increased productivity and quality in day-to-day tasks. Let us explain how Microsoft 365 Copilot enables the enhancement of digital transformation through artificial intelligence.

Microsoft 365 Copilot: What is it and how does it work?

Microsoft 365 Copilot is a tool that combines large language models (LLMs) with business data to function within Microsoft 365 applications. The goal is to improve users’ creativity, productivity, and skills through artificial intelligence functions.

Currently, the tool is in the testing phase with selected enterprise customers. This service will work with Microsoft 365 customers in two ways:

  1. Through traditional integration with everyday Microsoft 365 applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, or Teams.
  2. Through a completely new and innovative experience: Business Chat. Business Chat operates using LLM with Microsoft 365 applications, calendars, emails, chats, documents, meetings, and contacts of a customer to perform tasks that couldn’t be done before. You can instruct Business Chat to perform a task, such as “explain to my team the updates we’ve had on the marketing strategy during the past week.” It will provide automatic status updates based on meetings, emails, and chats from the week.

How Microsoft 365 Copilot will enable a new way of working

The key to this new tool is that users—and consequently, businesses—will be able to increase productivity without losing control. In other words, it will always be possible to choose which artificial intelligence functionalities to preserve and which ones to modify, thus improving the quality of tasks through automation.

As a result, creativity in Word, formula analysis in Excel, or design in PowerPoint can be improved, among other things. This is achieved by combining the power of large language models with user data and applications, transforming words—instructions—into a productivity tool.

Furthermore, Microsoft Copilot 365 operates within the context of each business. By analyzing information, it can offer relevant and actionable results tailored to each company, while ensuring security and efficiency.

Changes in Workflow

This product of Office 365 will transform the workflow of work teams:

  • Copilot in Word: Write, edit, summarize, and create together with others as they work.
  • Copilot in PowerPoint: The presentation creation process becomes more creative by turning ideas into a designed presentation through natural language commands.
  • Copilot in Excel: It can assist in unlocking information, identifying trends, or creating professional-looking data visualizations in a fraction of the time.
  • Copilot in Outlook: Useful for synthesizing and managing the inbox to allow more time for real communication.
  • Copilot in Teams: Enables more productive meetings with real-time summaries and action points directly within the conversation context.
  • Copilot in Power Platform: Helps developers of all skill levels accelerate development with low-code tools, introducing two new capabilities within Power Apps and Power Virtual Agents.
  • Business Chat: Gathers data from documents, presentations, emails, calendar, notes, and contacts to assist in summarizing chats, writing emails, finding key dates, or even drafting a plan based on other project files.

Empowering work teams

In summary, this tool promises to transform the workflow within companies, ensuring efficiency and productivity through task automation. That’s why at Epidata, we believe that Microsoft’s proposed AI can become an empowering tool for work teams, enabling each company to achieve more and better objectives.

At Epidata, we are constantly seeking to incorporate new technologies to continue evolving and providing our clients with disruptive solutions through our Innovation Outsourcing proposition.

At Epidata, we firmly believe in building work teams based on values such as merit, responsibility, and diversity, through policies that promote equal opportunities. And this implies understanding that work experience is no longer a determining factor when selecting new talent.

Having “X” years of work experience, in such a dynamic world as the present, does not in itself signify a value. On the contrary, it is human values and technical knowledge that determine someone’s aptitude for a position, regardless of how many years they have been working in a particular industry in the same way.

Therefore, it becomes necessary to lead a paradigm shift in personnel selection processes, which involves ceasing to promote and conduct searches for collaborators based on the criterion of “work experience”, and beginning to focus on knowledge.

For this reason, at Epidata we will stop considering all job offers that focus on “work experience” as valid, discriminating selection according to “time” variables. We invite you to discover why we believe that time is not a teacher.

Time is not a teacher: values and skills are more important than work experience

The world of work is characterized enormously by a particular trait: its dynamism. We do not use the same applications, languages, or development methodologies that we did 10, 5, or even 2 years ago. After all, the pandemic has generated a change in perspective around technology, but also about the way we work.

Since the pandemic, more and more organizations decided to build a better workplace by orienting themselves towards remote work, understanding all the virtues of productivity, efficiency, and comfort, without losing sight of the commitment to take on new innovative challenges for the market.

But are job search processes up to such a transformation? It seems not. We consider that measuring a person’s professional “value” by the years they have been doing a task does not make much sense. In the present day, evaluating work experience when hiring someone could be counterproductive.

Having “10 years of experience” does not necessarily mean something relevant to the current industry. Does this mean that experience is worthless in the market? No, quite the opposite. According to the RAE, experience is “knowledge of something, or skill for it, acquired by having done it, lived it, felt it or suffered it one or more times.” Experience is knowledge, and the focus is on measuring knowledge, not “task years”.

Epidata, promoting equal job opportunities since 2003

The elimination of searches based on the “years of work experience” criterion is just one of how we have been promoting equal opportunities since 2003. Since then we have worked on several things that we decided to do because we truly believe in them.

For example, “blind CVs” is another way to avoid discrimination based on work experience, as well as sex, and other prejudices. We feel that it is a form of discrimination that has become naturalized in the market and that needs to be changed. Therefore, we emphasize and seek to ensure that there is no discrimination of any kind at Epidata.

Thus, the selection parameters for new collaborators are based solely on the company’s competencies and values. This has resulted, for example, in our management team being one of the most diverse in the market, with a mix of ages, religions, tastes, styles, nationalities, and a large majority of women.

Knowledge and Merit: The Key to Continuing to Grow in the Business World

Now, it’s time to stop discriminating based on “years of work experience”. In an increasingly changing world, where professionals have to adapt to the emergence of new technological challenges, the ability to transform and assimilate new skills becomes one of the determining factors in the workplace.

If we want to promote constant innovation in the market, guaranteeing developments that transform the lives of millions of people, it becomes essential that selection processes adapt to the current reality. This implies removing the selection criterion based on “years of experience” and replacing it with true knowledge and adaptability.

This will be one of the keys to the future of work, which will result in the creation of the best workplace in the coming years. The desire to grow and the acquisition of modern technical skills should guide future team selection processes at work because time is not a teacher.
