The panel discussion will be framed around the question: what kind of computer-based assistance does the future hold for software architects? More precisely, what would the “features” of an “IDE” designed for a software architect be?, and what would happen if that “IDE” were designed for a developer answering questions for/from an architect? Furthermore, is the concept of “IDE” the only possible analogy for an assistance tool for architects?
We will describe a research and development experience carried out by the LaFHIS -UBA and Epidata in the area of visual abstraction recovery for “enterprise” application architecture.
