The “Learning by working” Program, promoted by Escuela Técnica N.º 1 Ing. Otto Krause, the Fundación Instituto para el Desarrollo Productivo, tecnológico y empresarial de la Argentina (DPT) and Epidata, was successfully completed.
As part of the Program, the 6th-year students in the Computer Science specialization and/or track at Escuela Técnica N.º 1 Ing. Otto Krause carried out educational work placements at Epidata's Software Factory office with the goal of “learning by working”.
For 3 months, with a workload of 12 hours per week, the students trained in IoT sensing, MariaDB databases, REST services, Mongo DB, Google Scripts and Java application development. They learned to apply their theoretical knowledge in a real work environment.
”Overall it seemed like a very good experience to see what the working world of IT is like and to do it without the pressure of a real job and surrounded by classmates I already know. It was an opportunity I'm glad I accepted and I'm sure it will benefit me in the future
