The business section of the newspaper Clarín, on Sunday, February 19, 2017, interviewed Adrián Anacleto, as a member of the CESSI board, who noted that the positive trend in job creation continues: the 2015 survey showed a total of 81,800 employees in the industry. We believe that in 2016 we came very close to 88,000 employees (the annual report will be out by April 2017), since in the first quarter of that year alone we grew by 3,400 workers compared to 2016.
The gap between worker demand and supply is approaching 5,000.
The most sought-after profile is that of application developer “80% of companies needed this profile and 70% had difficulty finding it”,
Functional Analyst and Tester are also profiles in high demand.
In the software industry, even the lower-demand profiles (operators or security administrators) are hard to find. And the high demand and low supply affect turnover levels, which exceeded 27% in 2015.
