Epidata will sponsor the event organized annually by the Departamento de Computación of the Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales (DC). It is theEscuela de Ciencias Informáticas (ECI), which will take place from July 22nd to 27th at Pabellón I of Ciudad Universitaria.
The ECI promotes the training of new generations of researchers and professionals, offering between 6 and 10 intensive courses of 15 to 18 hours each every year. These courses are taught by professors from other universities or institutions, giving participants different approaches to the topics covered and the chance to build academic cooperation ties, as well as encouraging research and development activities.
It also invites companies in the industry to give talks on specific industry topics. This year, Esteban Fernández Rojo and Adrián Paredes, Epidata professionals, will give a talk on “Gestión de la innovación en empresas nacionales” on Wednesday, July 24th, from 6:30 to 7:00 pm.
The ECI takes place thanks to the collaboration of a large number of distinguished professors and researchers from foreign and local universities, as well as the contribution of the Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales of the UBA, and the financial support that various companies and institutions have provided over different editions.
Between 350 and 800 people have attended the different editions of the ECI each year, taking one, two or three courses each. Among them are numerous students and professors from universities across Argentina and neighboring countries.
Epidata's participation in this event is directly related to its interest in promoting closer ties between students and young professionals and the industry, contributing to their training and promoting the value of sharing knowledge.
