Epidata is proud to be a partner of Sentilo, an open source sensor and actuator platform designed to fit the Smart City architecture of any city seeking openness and easy interoperability. City sensing consists of placing, at various points around the city, devices that provide information on a range of topics, such as traffic flow, pollution levels or the irrigation status of a public park, to obtain information that helps make decisions based on reliable data. Some examples of Smart Cities that use Sentilo are Barcelona, Dubai and Singapore.

Sentilo Partners are organizations that already have real experience with Sentilo because they have projects in production in one of the cities that use Sentilo or because they have used Sentilo in advanced testing. This means that these companies' devices or applications are adapted to connect to Sentilo or that they use Sentilo.

Epidata developed a Mulesoft © connector to interact with Sentilo. This connector makes it possible, from the MuleSoft © platform (Anypoint Studio), to send messages to Sentilo's sensors and/or components. As Mulesoft © is the most widely used API Management platform on the market, it gives all its users the ability to integrate quickly with a Smart Cities platform in a fast and agile way.

During MuleSoft CONNECT 2018, a top-tier event organized by MuleSoft, a company recently acquired by SalesForce, held on May 9, 10 and 11, 2018 in San Francisco, CA, Epidata ran a demo of Sentilo showing how MuleSoft makes it easier to use the Sentilo platform APIs. In addition, sensors were placed around the city of San José, San Francisco, CA, which, through Mulesoft API Manager, fed the Sentilo platform to monitor the sensors.

For all these reasons, Epidata is a member of the partner community of Sentilo.
