On April 8th, the newspaper La Nación published a story about the project developed jointly by the Universidad de Buenos Aires and Epidata, aimed at designing and developing video games that stimulate cognitive skills and improve school performance.
”The idea came about around five years ago. We developed three games that stimulate functions such as working memory (which lasts seconds and allows us, for example, to hold a conversation), planning and executive control. They are the basic building blocks of cognition.

Mate Marote is a platform offering a series of games to stimulate basic and elementary cognitive skills, especially for populations at social risk. The program promotes closing the cognitive gap and equal opportunities for all children. This video game is free, open-source, and the first to be scientifically tested.
